Quiz

The editor of this article Kristi Keck, choose to present the full article on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and I feel this layout allows the reader to easily skim  through to pick out the most important information if they are pressed for time. As well, Keck, hyperlinked many phrases and words that allow readers to gain further information on background knowledge in order to be better informed and knowledgeable.
The advertisements are placed on the far right side box  as well at the end of the article to get the readers attention but not distract them away from the information being presented. To better involve and appeal to a vast variety of readers, Keck, applies web extras such as hyperlinked words and phrases that led to other articles, videos about the related article, the option to email this article to friends and links to department stores and career building websites to provide easy access to other opportunities not related to the article.
I do not see any relationship between the advertisements that are featured on this page. The advertisements vary between energy drinks, JCPenny shopping as well as careerbuilders.  The ones that have to do with drinking are more prodomient, and I guess that is because people usually surf the internet in their leisure and like to snack and drink.
I like the article style, layout, design, etc. It is simple, to the point, unbias and without me reading it word for word, I understand what is going on.

Communication Decency Act oof 1996

Eboni Thompson
Communications Decency Act of 1996

In an attempt to regulate speech on-line by the Supreme Court, the Communication Decency Act is the government’s attempt to regulate speech on-line. Title 5 of telecommunication act-which is an act that provides a blue print of rules for every industry of communication- the Communication Decency Act attempts to regulate offensive and inappropriate indecency and obscenity.

This act interprets to say that there is legistration on the Internet; operators of Internet are not publishers and are therefore not provided the same rights and privileges. This act also relieves Internet service providers of liability of information posted by other Internet providers. Although, in order to be relieved of this liability, the internet carrier must satisfy each of the three questions:

1. The defendant must be a "provider or user" of an "interactive computer service."
2. The cause of action asserted by the plaintiff must "treat" the defendant "as the publisher or speaker" of the harmful information at issue.
3. The information must be "provided by another information content provider," i.e., the defendant must not be the "information content provider" of the harmful information at issue.

The goal of the Communication Decency act is to protect Internet users, especially youth. Some of the problems or criticisms this faces is the first amendment right of freedom of speech. Many feel that it should not be the up to the government to deem what is considered constitutional to post via Internet.

Love Under New Management

I never knew how empty my life was until I have recently had my life filled. I am happy, in total bliss, I am cover by his blood and through his strips I am healed. I no longer search for temporary fulfillment, nor worry about my life's future events. With God as the driver of my life, no hill seems too tall, no river too wide, no burden to heavy to carry, and no worry to important to think about. I am saved! : )
